Hi Kyle,

First, I really appreciate your offer to present at KWLUG. I, and many
others I'm sure, are looking forward to hearing your point of view.

Thank you again for offering to tackle this topic when it was suggested by
another attendee. Based on some reactions in another thread, and on my
initial reaction at the LUG, I have a suggestion.

Please consider refining the topic as "Cool Advanced GUI tricks" or
something similar. You could demonstrate the features of XGL/compiz, etc.
and perhaps compare the installation process / user experience on different
distros.

Chris I's comment about gaming in X under XGL (preventing tuxracer) would be
an ideal point to cover.

A demonstration of the processing costs of this GUI would be interesting
too. Does an advanced feature cause a VoIP call to drop-out for example?

Is a presentation like this still interesting to you?

My ETA for these would be sometime in the summer, after I come back

No problem.
