[kwlug disc.] moving from outlook to thunderbird on win XP pro

Hi

It should be easy to do, if there is not a built in filter, go to 
the thunderbird extensions, there should be something there.

This saved me when I had to transfer mail from a dead-end version
of mozila mail or tbird [can't remember].

better alternative?  i've already installed open office for her, and
gimp for my nephew.  so the next logical step would be email.
