Not much in the way of personal experience.  I have a holux GM210 that
works (USB) and another (PS2) that was modified to serial RS-232 and
also works.  The key things to look for would be a compatibilty with
gpsd.  That won't be listed on the package though.

What might be on the package is nmea0183.  If your device can send the
GPS messages in this format you've got a good chance it will work with
gpsd.
