That would be a great topic for a KWLUG meeting... say this month!
Maybe the presenter can include a user-oriented aspect to his
presentation?
I personally have not found any better way to determine the
modules and functionality than browsing through the Drupal site itself.
But I am not Richard.
For modules, I browsed through:
http://drupal.org/project/Modules
It is not the best method for getting a quick overview of what is
out there, but so far I have not found anything dramatically better. It
gives you a sense of what is possible, anyway.
