Hey now...a gaming version of linux? Anyone have any thoughts,
comments, or experience on this? I bought a copy of Halo last year and
have been enjoying it despite having to reboot all the time (I'm not a
real gamer, so that's as far as I've gone). I wonder if it might not be
worth my while to throw a copy of this mandriva cut on a spare pc just
for giggles. Or maybe even upgrade my desktop install.

Mandriva One special editions released: Gaming and Metisse
The next release of Mandriva Linux isn't due for a couple of months,
but that doesn't mean we're resting on our laurels! Recent weeks saw
the release of two special editions of Mandriva One 2007: the Gaming
and Metisse editions. The Gaming edition was released exclusively to
Club members. It's a DVD edition of Mandriva One 2007, updated with
the latest official updates for Mandriva Linux 2007 and with a huge
range of Linux games installed and ready to go, from the first-person
shooters OpenArena and Nexuiz through strategy games (Battle for
Wesnoth), action puzzle (Frozen Bubble) and driving games (Torcs and
VDrift) to the classic FlightGear flight simulator. If you want to
check out the best of Linux gaming, this is the way to do it. Read
