Well, I'm glad you asked that question, Chris (the cheque is in the mail).

Those maps were made through the OpenStreetMap[1] project.  You can
find out more about OpenStreetMap by asking me[2], diving right in[3]
attending a LUG meeting[4] or other cool community meeting[5]

[2] My previous victims made the mistake of asking me about OSM
without locating a route to the exit first.  Let this be a lesson to
you.

[3] http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/ will get you to the wiki.  It's
great and has lots of info, but can be daunting as an introduction to
OSM.

[4] There is an Intro to OSM presentation in the suggestion queue.  It
has not been scheduled for KWLUG yet, as only limited interest has

[5] The Town with No Map is a modified Intro to OSM presentation that
is currently considered for presentation at Hicktech in Owen Sound.
