Both CBC Radio 1 and the Globe and Mail highlighted a book call
Wikinomics (sp?) last week. The author talks about distributed projects
and mentions Linux in his interviews but not Open Source directly. He
highlights other distributed projects that have worked well in business.

The one notable point he made was the Boeing 787 (I think that was the
model) was designed as a distributed project. It sounded like Boeing had
given the equivalent of CVS access to its engineering plans for the
aircraft to its parts and subsystems manufacturers and had their
engineers help in the design.
