That's like saying anyone who needs 21 days to learn C shouldn't be
allowed near electronic equipment.

Why do you think Cobol is still in use today?

Pre-object oriented, it was data / record oriented in a way still to
be admired today.

Just try and do an n-dimension array in Cobol, watch how it enforces
integrity, and try and keep your head straight going through it, in 21
days. Haven't used it in +20 years, but I'll always have a deep
respect for it. [Not that I want to go back to it, either.]

Learning a language is reasonably trivial, especially after n
languages. Learning to use it well, well, that's another thing.

I see script kiddies brag they know C. I just smile and walk away.

Particularly these days ... it's all about the objects man, it's the
objects.

[And there's only so many hours for this stuff in a day. Just how many
sets of objects can one's mind retain before exploding. e.g. Think
VoIP / Telephony.]
