I plan on hacking the absolute shit out of the deck, so I don't want to pay 
for anything more than a hackable display and a cheap 4-channel amp.  
Besides,  I've got stock speakers.  The stock deck would work if there were a 
better/bigger display on it.  Unfortunately all the good displays are on 
expensive units.

Frankly, I think even a $100 unit in my decade-old minivan is pushing the 
performance of the speakers.  :-)
