I use them for hosting. Having ssh access is really great. Lots of
bandwidth, lots of space, not as much cpu cycles. I wouldn't put
high-traffic dynamic site on their servers because it'd be too slow (if speed
matters).
Minimal Drupal runs fairly fast (e.g., http://osrd.a0.ms/). Gallery2 serves
fast, but it takes a long time to process uploaded photos. The management
interface is a bit slow, but easy to use.
Some caveats: only 1 ssh user name. For ftp access, you can create own
users names, but they add a prefix to all ftp accounts. Database names are
also auto-generated. The email spam filter totally sucks, it even
classifies their own messages as spam! So I have it turned off.
The biggest annoyance is that changes using the admin interface take about
10 minutes (sometimes longer) to go into effect; e.g., adding sub-domains,
changing where they point to, etc.
Anything else you want to know?
Cheers,
TAA
