The time of KWIUG is past, indeed. The meeting room used to be packed with as many as a
hundred people back in the days when nobody knew what The Internet was, but everyone knew
they wanted it.
It's a measure of the success of the various applications and interfaces the Internet now
presents to the end user that the whole idea of an Internet Users Group now meets with polite
smiles and not-too-well disguised giggling. I can't think of any other complex and useful
high technology that's been as successful in penetrating the consumer market as the Internet.
The members of KWIUG still meet occasionally, usually in the Lion's Pub of the Huether Hotel
for a beverage or several. You can subscribe to the KWIUG mailing list for meeting
information. http://www.kwiug.org/listserv.php
