[kwlug disc.] need some opinions on a misbehaving wireless network

0wned system corrupting the local DNS server (the AP/router) with bogus 
entries and/or ARP poisoning?

When this is happening, set your laptop to use a known-good DNS server (I 
suggest 142.77.1.1 or even one of mine, try 208.68.91.56) and see if that 
works better.

It doesn't sound like hardware to me.
