Your experience does not appear to be atypical, at least according to

Found a couple of nasties in their Agreement:

- 9) Account Charges ... In providing billing and/or banking
information, you hereby authorize 3web to charge the credit and number
.... on a recurring or automatic basis.

[Given comments ... you can cancel the service, but they'll just keep
charging.]

- 13) High-Speed Service ... HS Users shall not be permitted to
utilize any type of telephone service over the said HS Service
including .... VOIP.
