Completely f'ing ridiculous IMO. Nevertheless, I've had it happen before. I
think it was on Bell Sympatico. I was stuck with this while living various
places during school where I was not in control of the ISP choice. Of
course, I was able to get around by switching to a webmail that provided
provided plenty of alternate ports, but it was still a huge PITA.
