Hi All,
The web site is back. Your account info should be as it was two-three
weeks ago. Any password changes in between are likely to have been
reverted. Sorry if this is an inconvenience.
Working / new
Old content - It's back Everything from 2005-2006 shuold be in place,
except a few items that I updated (then deleted the original)
Spam tools - I've added some automated spam handling. The worst
offenders should just disappear. When logged in, members can report
spam and or remove it.
Authentication - I've added another level of authentication to reduce
spam attacks.
- anonymous - may read all site content
- authenticated - (has registered, confirmed email) may post comments,
comments must be approved before they'll appear.
- member - (Has met another member and been vouched for) Can post
comments and other content without approval.
Members can upload an image for their user profile. It was suggeseted
to me that we have lots of newish folks and putting names to faces is
good. Please use the profile photo for a head shot that could be used
for this. Choose not to use the profile photo if you wish and if you
do use it, please stick to a recognizable headshot.
Meeting automation - meeting dates and topics should just work.
(We'll see Tuesday morning if the site switches over to the April
meeting as expected) Topics can now include a graphic! Welcome to
1992. If we like them we can add them to blogs etc.
Presentation automation - Looking at a presentation topic (the newer
ones, not the archives) will show when / where it was presented. So
for a repeating event like key signings, multiple dates should be
listed.
Not done / needs work
Extensive testing - please jump in.
Markdown - The module breaks the site. Sorry, no markdown yet.
Several good and easy HTML tags work by default. Try div img a ol ul
li dl dt dd em strong h3 h4 on for size.
Automation of FLOSS Fund list - thoughts?
More that I'm overlooking. Lemme know.
We'll learn more about Drupal on Monday. See you there.
