Honestly, I don't know of another way; OO's graphing has always been a sore 
point with me.  I generally use Excel or OO's version to graph trending data 
from vmstat output or other trace processes, and OO's graphs are invariably 
slow, clunky, terrible to tinker with and generally a pain in the ass.

sure there's gnuplot, but if I'm going to go that far, why wouldn't I just use 
gd and program the graph?
