Yes, however this news is making a big splash.  I'm hoping that it's big 
enough that people/companies start asking Microsoft for proof, and to 
put up or shut up.

If it is effecting a companies business by putting out the fud, then MS 
can be sued over it.

Isn't there a cache of patents put together by IBM/HP,Dell/Novel/etc 
that can be trotted out just for the same reason. I wonder how many free 
software patents MS is violating...  I wonder what would happen to MS 
shares if the same FUD was used in the same way.

"Microsoft uses 666 patents owned by the ? cabal." would be a great 
headline.
