I've seen some sad things on the Battle Front section, over at the
ArsTechnica.com forums. Namely there have been some threads about this
specific event.
Most of the Microsoft Fanboys (where Fanboy = the type that think any
Linux user is "frothing at the mouth") believe that it's the right
choice for MS lawyers to not disclose the exact areas where
infringement is occurring. They believe that the Linux devs should
have to go and look through the code themselves. The work that MS
lawyers put into source-searching is their own, and shouldn't be
shared...blah blah blah! They think that devs have purposefully
violated patents! That's to be expected from them I guess, but the sad
part is that the same mindset was spilling over into mere non-users
(where non-users = joe averages, haven't gotten there feet wet with
Linux yet).
