Wondering if anyone's seen this before.  I've got an LCD screen (samsung 
17") that's a bit older.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  
When it doesn't work, what it does is flashes briefly for a second (i.e. 
the POST screen) then blacks out. Then it may flash on again for a 
second (during the OS splash screen) then off again.

Seems odd to me since I figured LCD's would just flat out either die or 
get bad pixels.  Never figured they'd flash on and off intermittently.

I guess what I'm asking is, is it time for a new monitor?
