>From conversations at Zeke's tonight, it sounds like people on the
list might be interested in knowing where to find Creative
Commons-licensed music. The resource I suggested is Jamendo
(http://www.jamendo.com/), which hosts such music from around the
world.

If you are using Rhythmbox 0.9.8 or newer, you can use the Jamendo
plug by going to Edit->Plugins and checking the box. This lets you
browse the music collection without ever having to open a web browser.

With the wide range of music available on Jamendo, it's sometimes a
challenge to find good music that appeals to you. I created a
playlist for an open content awareness event that I helped organize
last Monday, which contains a range of music styles that you can use
to find artists that you like. It's available at
http://ossguy.com/oct29oca/.

I have done a fair bit of music searching in addition to that. Here's
a list of artists that I prefer:

http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/2invention/ - 2Inventions (trance/house)
http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/2matao/ - 2MaTao (synthesizer/trance)
http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/allison.crowe/ - Allison Crowe
(rock/pop/folk vocalist from Newfoundland)
http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/artsomerville/ - ARTSomerville (piano
soloist Eileen Feldman, classical pieces by Serenata Chamber
Musicians)
http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/rob.costlow/ - Rob Costlow (solo piano)
http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/tryad/ - t r y ^ d (industrial classical pop)
http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/xera/ - Xera (folk electronica)

If you're interested in more music from a particular genre listed
above, let me know; chances are I've got more artists to recommend.
