Ain't that the truth.  I remember years ago calling MS for support.  I 
didn't get any. Now the rare time I need linux support I can call the 
local experts (netdirect) and get over the top service.  And if I don't 
like what I get, I can move down the street.  Or do it myself if I'm so 
inclined.  OSS actually gives me a competitive support environment - 
there's plenty of folks doing this that I can choose from.
