The sentence to convince the businessman:
Product updates and patches come in intervals of days, not weeks.
Personally I haven't ran into many cituations where I'm asked about FLOSS.
Most of my friends are either already Linux geeks, or I've already attempted
with them, and realized there wasn't [yet] a point. And that's because they
all play games that either don't work in Linux, or that require much beyond
my current level of expertise to get working.
Though this had reminded me of on friend in particular who has teetered away
from that edge, and is experiencing some MS Frustration (lost files on a
Dynamic NTFS Volume that's no longer accessible after a reinstall), a
frustration that's unfortunately my fault (for suggesting the Dynamic NTFS
Volume in the first place). I'll have to give him a trial and see if he
likes it [it'll have firefox, play his music, and VLC already is used to
play his movies], if not I'll just keep trying to solve the issue.
Other than that, I don't feel that I can add very much that hasn't already
been very well said.
