[kwlug disc.] drupal 5.2 on fedora -- argh!

by the way, the problem i document on that wiki page for drupal 5.2 is
precisely where i get hung up with drupal 6 beta 1, so a solution
would most likely fix the problem in both cases.  that would be nice.
