As mentioned at the meeting, we need more nominees for the FLOSS Fund.
You can see the past, present and future of nominees here.
http://kwlug.org/node/459

Nominating a project is easy. It should be a Free / Libre Open Source
Software project, or other non-profit closely aligned with F/LOSS. Past
nominees have included Software projects like Vim, FreePBX and Drupal,
and Free Software related groups like the Public Patent Foundation. The
Free Software Foundation, and The Canadian Association for Open Source
(CLUE).

You can add a nominee here (kwlug web account required) ((It's free))
http://kwlug.org/node/add/nominee

Add the name of the project, a suitable, eye-catching logo, and a couple
of short paragraphs that indicate what the project is for those who
aren't familiar with it and why it is worthy of our support. You should
also include the link on the project web site where we can make the
donation.

Your nomination will be considered by the shadowy FLOSS Fund Cabal and
possibly added to the queue. Once scheduled, you, as the nominator,
should prepare to say a few words at the meeting to stir up a rousing
response and inspire strong support for your nominated project.

How about The Gnome Foundation, Groklaw, Linux International, Ubuntu
Foundation, OpenWRT, or some of your other favorites? Want to write one
or two of these up?
