I have no problem with them either, as long as they are occasional.
I think one or two a year, tops.  It helps keep variety in the topics,
and it's nice to occasionally have a personal update on how the rest
of the world thinks.

Perhaps a potential presentation could be floated at a meeting, with a
show of hands for who is interested.  Hopefully that shouldn't be too
much work.
