[kwlug disc.] how long would it take you to learn threads programming?

The theory was mostly covered on a purely theoretical course on
operating system theory examining BSD if I recall.  Interprocess
communication, spawning processes and spawning threads was covered
elsewhere.  It was a college level course years ago that I remember
very little about unfortunately
