[kwlug disc.] entry-level, linux-friendly scanner available locally?

  i just want to pop out and get a cheap colour USB scanner and slap
it on my fedora 8 system, but the offerings at future shop and best
buy are not looking promising.

  future shop has the canon canoscan lide 90, which the SANE site
lists as "unsupported."  the same situation over at best buy.

  anyone have a pointer to a local shop where i can walk in, plop down
not much more than $100, and walk out with a linux-happy scanner?
