My wife got the pink 4G Eee PC a few months ago. It's not a bad little
laptop, and if the battery life was anywhere near what they advertised I'd be
pretty happy with it. I'm waiting to blow away what it came with and replace
it with Kubuntu to see if it's any better, and if they ever get toward $100
I'd get them for the kids for sure.
For youngsters or smaller-handed people they really are quite nice.
