I agree, that the payment is for services rendered, not services owed. 
That is, the money is a thank you, not an expectation of more work.

I wonder if perhaps we should start thinking of smaller projects that 
could use the money.  Things like the webcam guy who created all those 
drivers for webcams. I think he does it mainly for fun, and OH, he has a 
paypal button.
