A quick search of SourceForge resulted in 429 results. I did some research about a year and a half ago on this particular topic. There have been a lot of changes since then
There are a number of commercial opensource options available if they client wants the support etc that comes with going this route.
Openbravo ERP www.openbravo.com/ Compiere http://www.compiere.com/
There's always the community type projects. Some with support from knowledgeable consultants. Such as EdgeERP
Check out EdgeERP http://sourceforge.net/projects/edgeerp/ This system is definitely being used in production environments.
Hopeful this provides some info as to what's out there.

Subject: [kwlug disc.] open-source alternative to SAP?
is there a viable open-source alternative to SAP for ERP? and, more
importantly, are there any actual corporations *using* such an
alternative in production? thanks.
