Thanks for taking this on. 

You might troll through the existing user groups listed in the
Resources page for content. For example, the Perl Mongers are still
monging perls every month, and the Drupal group is doing its thing. 
Other groups (like the Python group) are deader, though. If you notice
that groups on our list are dead you might modify the page to reflect
that.
