I checked the two other ISPs mentioned here. They are cheaper than
Rogers, and offer more GB per month.
But the speed is 5 Mbps, vs. 7 Mbps (albeit the upload is 512Kbps for
Rogers vs. 800Kbps for the others). They seem to be PPPoE as well
for the standard service.
The other things is that $45 (Rogers Express) minus $30 (TekSavvy)
= $15. Rogers will charge $10 extra for basic cable if the internet
is with someone else, so net savings is $5 per month, for a bit less
download speed.
Meanwhile, some lucky folk in Montreal are really getting fast pipes:
