I get the 7 or 8 Mbps at certain times. The difference is noticeable. 
I don't do it much, but having things happen in a couple of hours 
rather than a couple of days or more, means that's one less thing I 
have to mind. A benefit I've come to appreciate. The other gotcha is 
the other end has to be feeding you that fast.

If I could have gone non-bell over bell copper at 5Mbps, I would have, 
and been happy. With Rogers, you have 1 Mbps, then 7. No in between. 
Otherwise I would have gone for it and saved the money. If it's 2 
hours, I don't care - as long as it's less than, say, 8. i.e. Overnight.
