Hi everyone,
Waterloo Libre Software Group (WLSG) has started up again this term.
We had our first meeting two weeks ago, which I unfortunately forgot
to inform the KWLUG list about. We'll be having our second meeting
today at 7pm in MC 2037 on the University of Waterloo campus. A map
of the campus is available at http://www.uwaterloo.ca/map/, which will
show you where MC is (PDFs are available if you don't like the default
view using Flash).
People new to WLSG can learn about projects to work on from
experienced members of WLSG and get connected with people that share
their interests such as writing games, operating system kernels,
command-line utilities, etc. We will talk a bit about about External
Comments, one of WLSG's main projects, which new and returning
participants may be interested in working on. Those who have been to
WLSG before are free to use the meeting time to talk with new people
or work on their own FLOSS projects. Please bring your own computing
device for coding and research if you can. We can get you connected
to the campus wireless.
More information about WLSG is available on the web site
(http://wlsg.uwaterloo.ca/). If you have any questions about it, feel
free to ask me.
